- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Hārūn narrated to us; Ḍamrah narrated to us, from al-Sariyy ibn Yaḥyā who said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Ghālib said, “The sweeping plague carried off my sons before I had taken my fill of their company. As for the day—as you can see—he would pray between ẓuhr (noon) and ʿaṣr (afternoon), and again between maghrib (sunset) and ʿishāʾ (night), ⦗201⦘ constantly engaging in abundant, unceasing tasbīḥ (glorification). And at night I say, ‘Go and rejoin your mother.’”
