- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ismaʿil narrated to us; al-Jurayri informed us, from Ghunaym, from Qays—and on another occasion he said: from Abu al-Salil—who reported that Ghunaym ibn Qays said to me:
“In the earliest days of Islam we used to exhort one another with four injunctions: work during your times of leisure for the times when you will be busy; work while you are healthy for the days of sickness; work in your youth for your old age; and work in your life for your death.”
