- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us; Musa narrated to us; Ismaʿil narrated to us; Safiyya narrated to us. She said: I heard Mutarrif’s servant—the one who was with him—say: “I was walking with Mutarrif on a pitch-dark night when the servant said to him, ‘We cannot see anything.’ Thereupon, a light shone for him like a lamp at the very tip of his whip.”
١٣٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَتْنَا صَافِيَةُ قَالَت: سَمِعْتُ غُلَامَ مُطَرِّفٍ الَّذِي كَانَ مَعَهُ قَالَ: أَقْبَلْتُ مَعَ مُطَرِّفٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ظَلْمَاءَ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْغُلَامُ: لَا نُبْصِرُ شَيْئًا قَالَ: «فَأَضَاءَ لَهُ مِثْلَ السِّرَاجِ عَلَى طَرَفِ سَوْطِهِ»
