- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Ibrahim told me; ʿAmr ibn ʿAsim narrated to us; Sulayman ibn al-Mughira narrated to us, from Thabit, from Mutarrif, who said:
“While I was sitting with Madhʿur, a man suddenly proclaimed, ‘These two men are among the people of Paradise!’ Madhʿur looked at him, and I could see displeasure in his face. Then he lifted his eyes toward the sky and said, ‘O Allah, You know us, whereas they do not. O Allah, You know us, whereas they do not.’”
