- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Mahdi—meaning Ibn Maymun—from Ghaylan—meaning Ibn Jarir—from Mutarrif, who said:
“The soundness of the heart depends on the soundness of deeds, and the soundness of deeds depends on the soundness of the intention.”
١٣٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَهْدِيٍّ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ غَيْلَانَ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ قَالَ: «صَلَاحُ قَلْبٍ بِصَلَاحِ عَمَلٍ وَصَلَاحُ عَمَلٍ بِصَلَاحِ نِيَّةٍ»
