1318 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Yunus narrated to us; Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah, who said: Khulaid ibn ʿAbd Allah al-ʿAsari said: “You will meet the believer chaste yet imploring, you will meet him dignified yet humble, and you will meet him wealthy yet needy.” He went on: “You find him chaste in his dealings with people, imploring his Lord; humble before his Lord, yet dignified in his own sight; rich toward the people, yet needy before his Lord.” Qatadah added: “These are the manners of the believers; he is the most knowledgeable of people and the least burdensome.”
