1294 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said, “My father related it to me.” Ismaʿil narrated to us; Yunus informed us; the client (mawla) of al-Ahnaf ibn Qays told me: “Al-Ahnaf was rarely alone without calling for the mushaf—a written copy of the Quran.”
