1260 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; ʿAffān narrated to us; Jaʿfar ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; Saʿīd al-Jarīrī reported:
When ʿĀmir ibn ʿAbd Allah was sent away, his brothers accompanied him. Once they reached the rear of the Mirbad marketplace, he said, “I am going to supplicate; say āmīn (amen).” They replied, “Go ahead—we have long been waiting for you to do this.”
He prayed, “O Allah, whoever slandered me, lied about me, drove me out of my land, and separated me from my brothers—O Allah, increase his wealth and his offspring, keep his body healthy, and lengthen his life.”
