14 – ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us; Abān narrated to us; Qatādah narrated to us, from Anas, who said:

One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, “By Him in whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, this evening the family of Muhammad does not possess even a single sāʿ of grain, nor a single sāʿ of dates.”

And on that very day they occupied nine separate dwellings, for he had nine wives at the time.
