- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Muhammad ibn Sabiq narrated to us; Mālik ibn Mighwal reported: I heard Abū Sakhrah say, “Someone remarked to ʿĀmir, ‘With all your lineage and honor, you are content with a dwelling such as this and clothes like these?’ He replied, ‘Allah—exalted is He—has placed the coolness of ʿĀmir’s eyes in this.’”
١٢٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَخْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قِيلَ لِعَامِرٍ: رَضِيتَ فِي شَرَفِكَ وَحَسَبِكَ بَيْتَكَ هَذَا وَهَذَا لِبَاسُكَ قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ – Exalté soit-Il – جَعَلَ قُرَّةَ عَيْنِ عَامِرٍ فِي هَذَا "
