tell no one of them until after his death. He then said, “I asked Allah to remove the love of women from my heart, and—by Allah—I now care no more whether I behold a woman or a wall. I asked Him that I fear nothing except Him. And I asked Him to take sleep away from me so that I might worship Him night and day as I wish; that last request He withheld from me.”
