- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Ibrāhīm ibn al-Ḥasan al-Bāhilī al-ʿAllāf related to us; Abū ʿAwanah narrated to us, from Abū Bishr, from Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Abū Hurayrah—may Allah be pleased with him—who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The finest fast after Ramadan is to fast in Allah’s month, Muḥarram, and the finest prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer.”
١٢٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْبَاهِلِيُّ الْعَلَّافُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «أَفْضَلُ الصِّيَامِ بَعْدَ رَمَضَانَ شَهْرُ اللَّهِ الْمُحَرَّمُ، وَأَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْفَرِيضَةِ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ»
