1191 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Bakr narrated to us; Ḥātim ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us, from Ḥumayd ibn Sakhr, from Yazīd ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Qusayṭ and Ṣafwān ibn Sulaym, who both said: “Whoever dies while engaged in ribat (guarding the frontier) dies as a martyr.”
