1173 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Bakr narrated to us; Sharik narrated to us, from ʿAsim, from Abu Waʾil, from ʿAlqamah, who said:
“It was said to him, ‘Will you not relate something to admonish us?’ He replied, ‘I dislike to command you to do what I myself do not practice.’”
