1157 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Ismaʿil narrated to us; Yunus informed us, from al-Hasan, who said:
Abu al-Sahbaʾ Sila ibn Ashyam said, “I went after this world through the channels of what is lawful, yet all I ever obtained from it was my daily provision. I am not overburdened by it, and it, for its part, never surpasses me. When I saw that, I said, ‘O soul, your sustenance has been set at sufficiency, so take things easy!’ She then grew calm and scarcely had to toil any more.”
