1144 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Hārūn ibn ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Siyyār narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥabīb al-Ṭufāwī narrated to me; he said: I went in to see Fath al-Mawṣilī and found him feeding the fire with bricks. Fath was an Arab of noble lineage and a man of asceticism.
١١٤٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الطُّفَاوِيُّ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى فَتْحٍ الْمُوصِلِيِّ، فَإِذَا هُوَ يُوقِدُ بِالْآجُرِّ، وَكَانَ فَتْحٌ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْعَرَبِ، وَكَانَ شَرِيفًا زَاهِدًا.
