1130 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: “I found this hadith in my father’s book, written in his own hand. Hāshim Abū al-Naḍr narrated to me; Abū Saʿīd al-Muʾaddib narrated to us; Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾisha—may Allah have mercy on her—who said: ‘Ask your Lord for everything, even the strap of a sandal, for if He does not make it easy, by Allah, it will never be made easy.’”
