116. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to me; Abū al-Aḥwaṣ narrated to us, from Simāk, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr, who said:

“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, while he was standing on the pulpit, declaring, ‘I warn you of the Fire!’ He repeated this until one side of his cloak slipped from his shoulder, yet he continued, ‘I warn you of the Fire!’ Had he been standing where I am now, the people in the marketplace—or whomever Allah willed among them—would have heard him.” (Al-Nuʿmān was speaking from the pulpit of Kūfah.)
