1123 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Jarir narrated to us; from Mansur; from Hilal; from Farwah ibn Nawfal al-Ashjaʿi, who said: “I used to be a neighbor of Khabbab. One day I left the mosque with him while he was holding my hand, and he said, ‘yā hantāh (O dear one), draw near to Allah—exalted is He—by whatever means you can, for you will never come closer to Him with anything more beloved to Him than His own speech.’”} السيدੱਗ功能state/description
١١٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَارًا لِخَبَّابٍ فَخَرَجْتُ مَعَهُ يَوْمًا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ آخِذٌ بِيَدِي، فَقَالَ: يَا هَنْتَاهْ تَقَرَّبْ إِلَى اللَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il – بِمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ فَإِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْهِ بِشَيْءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ كَلَامِهِ "
