1110 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Yazid narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ʿAmr informed us, from Yahya ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Hatib, who said:

Abu Waqid al-Laythi said, “We examined the various deeds and found nothing that takes one further in seeking the Hereafter than zuhd (renunciation) in this world.”
