1092 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Shurayh ibn Yunus told me; Muslim ibn Khalid narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUbayd ibn ʿUmayr, who said:
“On the Day of Resurrection people will be gathered hungrier than they have ever been, thirstier than they have ever been, and more naked than they have ever been. Whoever, for the sake of Allah—glorified and exalted be He—feeds others, Allah will feed him; whoever, for the sake of Allah, clothes others, Allah will clothe him; and whoever, for the sake of Allah, gives others drink, Allah will give him drink. And whoever seeks what is pleasing to Allah, then Allah—glorified and exalted be He—is even more able to grant him His good pleasure.”
