1076 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: My father narrated to us; Muʾammal narrated to us; Sufyān narrated to us, from Jaʿfar ibn Burqān, who said: A man who had seen Ibn ʿUmar told me that one of Ibn ʿUmar’s sons came to him and said, “Father, clothe me with an izār.” He replied, “My dear son, turn your izār inside out, and beware of being among those who spend whatever Allah—Exalted is He—has provided them only on their bellies and on their backs.”
