1069 – ʿAbd Allah related to us; my father related to us; Wakiʿ related to us, from Hisham al-Dastuwaʾi, from al-Qasim ibn Abi Bazza, who said: “A person who had heard Ibn ʿUmar told me that he recited, ‘Woe to those who give short measure’ (Surah al-Mutaffifin 83:1). When he reached, ‘on the Day when mankind shall stand ⦗158⦘ before the Lord of all beings’ (83:6), he wept until he collapsed and could not continue reciting what came after it.”
