1049 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; al-Layth ibn Khalid al-Balkhi narrated to us, from al-ʿAlāʾ ibn Khalid al-Mujāshiʿī—meaning Ibn Wardān—from Abū Bakr ibn Ḥafṣ ibn ʿImrān, that ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him) would never eat a meal unless an orphan was sharing his table.
١٠٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْمُجَاشِعِيِّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ وَرْدَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصِ بْنِ عِمْرَانَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ لَا يَأْكُلُ طَعَامًا إِلَّا عَلَى خُوَانِهِ يَتِيمٌ "
