1045 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Ismaʿil narrated to us; Salih ibn Rustum informed me, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Mulaykah, who said: “I accompanied Ibn ʿAbbas from Madinah to Makkah and from Makkah back to Madinah. Throughout the journey he would perform his prayers as two rakʿahs (units of prayer), and he would rise for half of the night, frequently—by Allah—filling that time with abundant tasbih (glorification of Allah).”
