1034 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abū Yaʿqūb Yūsuf al-Ṣaffār narrated to us; Abū Bakr ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Ḥuṣayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Abū ʿAbd Allah al-Jadalī, from ʿUbāda ibn al-Ṣāmit and Kaʿb, both of whom said:
“When mankind is gathered together, a herald will proclaim, ‘This is the Day of Judgment! Where are those whose sides forsook their beds? Where are those who remembered Allah standing, sitting, and reclining on their sides?’—and he will continue mentioning such descriptions. Then a neck of the Fire will emerge and announce, ‘I have been commanded concerning three: anyone who ascribed a partner to Allah; every arrogant tyrant; and every aggressor. I know each person better than a parent knows his child, and better than the child knows his parent.’
“It will then be ordered that the poor among the Muslims be taken toward Paradise, but they will be detained. They will say, ‘You are detaining us? Yet we possessed no wealth, nor were we ever rulers!’”
