- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Ḥasan ibn ʿĪsā narrated to us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak informed us; Saʿīd ibn Yazīd Abū Shujāʿ informed us, from Abū al-Samḥ, from Abū al-Haytham, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī—may Allah be pleased with him—who related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said concerning the verse, “while in it their faces will be contorted” (al-Muʾminūn 23:104): “The Fire will roast them so that his upper lip shrinks until it reaches the middle of his head, while his lower lip droops until it strikes his navel.”
١٠٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ عِيسَى، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو شُجَاعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: " ﴿وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ﴾ [المؤمنون: ١٠٤] قَالَ: «تَشْوِيهِ النَّارُ؛ فَتَقَلَّصُ شَفَتُهُ الْعُلْيَا حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ وَسَطَ رَأْسِهِ وَتَسْتَرْخِي شَفَتُهُ السُّفْلَى حَتَّى تَضْرِبَ سُرَّتَهُ»
