Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal

1002 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Ismaʿil ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, from Layth, from Tawus, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: “Beware of suspicion, for it is the most deceptive of speech. Do not spy, do not pry, do not vie with one another, do not turn your backs on one another, and do not hate one another. Rather, be servants of Allah, brothers to one another, as Allah—exalted is He—has commanded you.”
