1001 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Abu Saʿid narrated to us; Ishaq ibn ʿUthman al-Kulabi narrated to us. He said: I heard Abu Ayyub—who is ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Sulayman, the freedman (mawla) of ʿUthman ibn ʿAffan—say:
Abu Hurayrah had a prayer place (masjid) in his sleeping quarters (makhdaʿ), another in his house, another in his private room (hujrah), another in his courtyard (dar), and yet another at the entrance to his home. Whenever he came in, he would pray in all of them, and whenever he went out, he would likewise pray in all of them.
