999 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Saʿid narrated to us; Abu Yaʿqub narrated to us; Abu Ayyub ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Sulayman narrated that:

Abu Hurayrah once entered the masjid (mosque) and saw a young boy inside. He said, “Young man, go back to your family’s work.” The boy replied, “I have only come for the salah (ritual prayer).” Abu Hurayrah responded, “Then you are the one who has preceded, and I am the one who will pray (behind you).”
