ʿAbd Allāh reported to us; ʿAbbād ibn Yaʿqūb told me; Muḥammad ibn Fuḍayl narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Isḥāq, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Saʿd, from ʿAlī—who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Indeed, in Paradise there are lofty chambers whose inner part is visible from the outside and whose outer part is visible from the inside.”

A Bedouin asked, “Messenger of Allah, for whom are they?”

He replied, “For those who speak pleasantly, feed others, persist in fasting, and stand in prayer for Allah during the night while people are asleep.”
