- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Jaʿfar ibn Burqān, from Yazīd al-Aṣamm, from Abū Hurayrah—who said: The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, said:
“Richness is not found in an abundance of possessions; rather, true richness is the richness of the soul.”
٩٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْأَصَمِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ، إِنَّمَا الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ»
