91 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us, …, ʿAbd al-Majid ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz informed us, from his father, who said: “It reached us that a group of travellers, whenever they halted, would neither invoke Allah’s protection nor assemble behind an imam. Their sight was then taken away, and a caller announced: ‘This has happened to you because you do not call upon Allah when you camp, nor do you gather behind an imam.’ So they repented to Allah and earnestly pleaded with Him, and Allah restored their sight.”
٩١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ،. . .، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: " بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ قَوْمًا، كَانُوا فِي سَفَرٍ لَا يَسْتَنْزِلُونَ اللَّهَ إِذَا نَزَلُوا، وَلَا يَسْتَجْمِعُونَ عَلَى إِمَامٍ؛ فَعُمِّيَتْ أَبْصَارُهُمْ، فَنُودُوا: ذَلِكُمْ بِأَنَّكُمْ لَا تَسْتَنْزِلُونَ اللَّهَ إِذَا نَزَلْتُمْ، وَلَا تَسْتَجْمِعُونَ عَلَى إِمَامٍ. فَتَابُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ﷿ وَتَضَرَّعُوا إِلَيْهِ، فَرَدَّ اللَّهُ ﷿ عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْصَارَهُمْ "
