76 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Majid al-Tamimi told me; he said: al-Walid ibn Muslim related to us, from ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Jabir, from Makḥul, who said: “What the people have been promised will not come to pass until their scholar among them is worse than the carcass of a donkey.”
