51 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn ʿAbd Allah, the nephew of al-Asmaʿi, narrated to me, from his uncle; he said: I heard Bishr ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz say: “People said to al-Hajjaj, ‘You do this and that!’ He replied, ‘I am a punishment that has been sent against the people of Iraq.’”
