360 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Isḥāq ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us; he said: Jarīr narrated to us, from ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib, who said:

When Jonah—peace be upon him—was saved from the belly of the whale, he would proclaim the talbiyah, saying, “Here I am, O Reliever of anguish, here I am.” He added: And Jesus would proclaim the talbiyah, “Here I am; Your servant, born of Your bondmaid, one among Your bondwomen.”
