3 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: Qāsim ibn Hāshim informed us; he said: Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn Ṭalḥah ibn Muṣarrif al-Yāmī narrated to us, from Zubayd al-Yāmī, who said: Jāmiʿ ibn Abī Rāshid—with tears streaming down his face—narrated to me, from Umm ⦗20⦘ Mubashshir, from Umm Salamah, who said:

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘When wickedness becomes rampant on the earth, Allah the Exalted sends down His punishment upon the inhabitants of the earth.’ I asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, even if among them are righteous people?’ He replied, ‘Yes, even if among them are righteous people; what afflicts the people will afflict them as well, and then they will return to the mercy of Allah.’”
