344 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Waqid narrated to us; he said: ⦗219⦘ Ḍamrah narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, who said:

“The Children of Israel said, ‘O Lord, our fathers ate the chickpeas and we are the ones whose teeth are grinding!’ He replied, ‘Do you dare coin parables for Me? I will most certainly deal with you—indeed I will!’ This is an emphatic and severe threat.”
