327 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Waqid narrated to us; he said: Faraj ibn Fadala narrated to us, from al-Walid ibn Ayman al-Alhani, from al-Nuʿman ibn Bashir al-Ansari, who said while addressing the people in Homs:
“Ruin—utter ruin—is to commit sins in a time of affliction.”
٣٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَيْمَنَ الْأَلْهَانِيِّ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، " أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ فِي حِمْصٍ: إِنَّ الْهَلَكَةَ كُلَّ الْهَلَكَةِ أَنْ تَعْمَلَ السَّيِّئَاتِ فِي زَمَانِ الْبَلَاءِ "
