294 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us; he said: al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn Ismaʿil ibn ʿUbayd Allah; he said: Sulayman ibn Habib narrated to me, from Abu Umamah, who said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, ‘The bonds of Islam will surely be undone one after another. Each time a bond is severed, people will cling to the one that follows it. The first bond to be broken is governance (al-ḥukm), and the last of them is the prayer.’”
