290 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Mujahid ibn Musa narrated to us; he said: Shadhan narrated to us; he said: Hammad ibn Salama narrated to us, from ʿAli ibn Zayd, from Abu ʿUthman, from Khalid ibn ʿUrfuta, that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said to him: ⦗190⦘ “O Khalid, turbulent events, disagreement, and division will arise. When that happens, if you can, be the one who is killed, not the killer.”
