287 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Ishaq ibn Ismaʿil narrated to us; he said: Abu Usamah narrated to us; he said: Abu Tahir narrated to us, from Matar al-Warraq—so I presume—from Abu al-Jald, who said:

“By Him in whose hand is the soul of Abu al-Jald, there will surely arise in the last days a people whose tongues are luxuriant while their hearts are barren, whose intellects are stunted and whose manners are fragile. Men will pair with men, and women with women. They will teach falsehood, giving it one hue after another; and when they do that, let them await the punitive scourge from heaven.”
