278 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Hārūn b. ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Sayyār narrated to us; he said: Jaʿfar narrated to us; he said: ʿAnbasah al-Khawwās narrated, from Qatādah, who said:

Moses son of Imran said, “My Lord, You are in the heaven and we are on the earth; how may we tell Your anger from Your good pleasure?” He replied, “When I place your best people in authority over you, that is a sign of My pleasure; and when I place your worst people in authority over you, that is a sign of My anger upon you.”
