272 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Waqid told us; he said: Damrah ibn Rabiʿah narrated to us, from al-Shaybani. He said: Abu Hurayrah heard a man say, “Every sheep is hung by its own leg.” Abu Hurayrah replied, “Never! By Allah, even the houbara bustard dies, wasted away in mid-air, because of the son of Adam’s wrongdoing against his own soul.”
