260 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; he said: Abū Khaythamah narrated to us; he said: Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us; he said: Sharīk informed us, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Mundhir ibn ⦗174⦘ Jarīr, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whenever someone in a community commits sins openly and he is the most powerful and best protected among them, and they fail to oppose him, Allah Most High will punish them through him.”
