256 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; he said: ʿAlī ibn Abī Maryam narrated to us, from Zuhayr ibn ʿAbbād al-Ruʾāsī, who said: They transmitted to us from Mujāhid regarding the verse, “And before them many exemplary punishments had already passed” (Q 13:6). He said, “Their dwellings stand desolate and their vestiges have been effaced.”
