“When David committed the sin, the wild beasts fled from around him. He cried out, ‘My Lord, bring the beasts back so I may find solace in their company.’ Allah therefore returned the beasts to him; they encircled him and pricked up their ears toward him. He then raised his voice with the recitation of the Zabur and with weeping over himself. The beasts called out, ‘Far gone, far gone, O David! The sin has stripped the sweetness from your voice.’”
