207 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Azhār b. Marwān also narrated to me; he said: Jaʿfar b. Sulaymān narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. Maʿqil b. Munabbih narrated to us; he said: I heard my uncle Wahb say, “When David raised his head from prostration, he lifted it blood-stained and trembling. He then kept away from his wives and wept until the tears carved furrows down his face.”
٢٠٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَمِّي، وَهْبًا، يَقُولُ: " لَمَّا رَفَعَ دَاوُدُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السُّجُودِ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ وَقَدْ دَمِيَ وَرَعَشَ، قَالَ: وَاعْتَزَلَ نِسَاءَهُ ثُمَّ بَكَى حَتَّى خَدَّدَتِ الدُّمُوعُ وَجْهَهُ "
