198 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ related to me; he said: al-Ḥakam ibn Ẓuḥayr narrated to us, from al-Suddī, who said: Ibn ʿAbbās stated, “The ordeal of Solomon, peace be upon him, lasted forty days and forty nights.”
