170 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn ʿAbbad ibn Musa related to me; he said: Yazid ibn Harun reported to us, from Hisham, from al-Hasan, who said: “Nothing of Job—peace be upon him—remained sound except his tongue, his eyes, and his heart. Creatures would crawl over his cheek, and the Book had already been bestowed upon him. He endured his trial for seven years and some months—or, according to one wording, for some days.”
